NA Vice President Receives Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia

On May 11, the RA NA Vice President Vahe Enfiajyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to the RA Kalin Vasilev Anastasov.

The sides highlighted the deepening of the Armenian-Bulgarian bilateral relations, the further development of the inter-parliamentary cooperation and the activation of the trade-economic ties. The regional problems were also touched upon. Speaking about the war unleashed by the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem, the NA Vice President expressed hope that during the short period there will be positive changes, and peace will be established. The Ambassador of Bulgaria in his turn has assured that they follow the ongoing processes in the region, expressing hope that the dialogue in the OSCE Minsk Group format.

Vahe Enfiajyan raised the issue of preservation of the Armenian cultural and spiritual monuments in the territories of Artsakh passed under the control of Azerbaijan. In this respect he highlighted the stressed attitude of the international community and friendly countries. Ambassador Kalin Vasilev Anastasov expressed that in the framework of the UNESCO and the OSCE Minsk Group the problems will be fairly solved.

The Ambassador thanked the Vice President for the reception, highly assessing the relations existing between the two countries. He especially underlined the role of the Armenian community of Bulgaria in strengthening of bilateral relations.

The interlocutors affirmed the necessity of cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, newest technologies, transport and the implementation of joint programmes. The sides have underscored the low level of bilateral goods turnover, documenting that the is unused great potential.
